The grammar is a bit off in the last line.
ReplyDeleteOne option would be:
"If I didn't pay him, at least I wouldn't have asked him for money."
Or perhaps another option more in line with the comment from the naturopath might be:
"If I don't pay him, at least it won't have cost him any money."
